Small Developing Business
I read a portion of the $100 Startup book last night, and pulled away a few salient points:
1. Focus on doing the things that make money. a. What are the specific things that you do that make money? b. Spending time on having a nice website, or tidying up the edge cases will cost money and time, whereas focusing on getting the bulk of creation and distribution and direct promotion will get you the money. c. As a general rule go after the direct things with 80/20 diligence.
The focus will also get you into the arena faster. Spending more time on the pitch is spending more time gaining experience.
Other thoughts: Divide your work time into 50% creation / 50% promotion.
